Better Together is a University initiative begun in 2024 and co-led by Equity People & Culture, the Division of Students and the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Its purpose is to create the time, space and skills needed for community members to engage with each other, including across differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The University is proud of the diversity of its students, faculty and staff. However, this diversity brings the challenge of how the community engages with issues \u2013 and with one another \u2013 amid a wide range of identities, histories, worldviews, priorities, responsibilities and reasons for being at York. The collective goals identified under the University Academic Plan<\/a>'s Living Well Together asks us to work toward developing, and thoughtfully applying, the skills, knowledge, empathy and relationships needed to support each other\u2019s rights to study, work and belong at York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope all York community members will take part in this year\u2019s Better Together programming, which coincides with Fall Well-being Week<\/a>, so that we can thrive as a diverse collective.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
