This Award is given annually to one or more York students who have been accepted to Tel Aviv University.**<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"64\">40<\/td>\n<td width=\"255\">Tel Aviv University - Vera Dolly Denty Award<\/td>\n<td width=\"367\">Established in memory of Vera Dolly Denty by the Canadian Friends of Tel Aviv University to support York students undertaking some of their studies at Tel Aviv University. This Award is given annually to one or more York students who have been accepted to Tel Aviv University.**<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"64\">41<\/td>\n<td width=\"255\">Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University<\/td>\n<td width=\"367\">Awards are available to graduate and undergraduate students to study and\/or conduct research at the Hebrew University. Preference will be given to students who have completed two years at York and who return to York from Israel for at least one year, and who are enrolled in the Jewish Teacher Education program. Recipients must be participating in a York recognized exchange program with the hebrew University and will be selected on the basis of scholarly merit.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"64\">42<\/td>\n<td width=\"255\">Leonard Wolinsky Israel 快播视频 Award<\/td>\n<td width=\"367\">This award is given annually to one or more York graduate and\/or undergraduate students for one year of full time study in Jewish Studies at an Israeli university. Preference will be given to students who have completed at least one year at York and who are enrolled in the Jewish Teacher Education program.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"64\">43<\/td>\n<td width=\"255\">Gertrude Jack Friedman Memorial Award<\/td>\n<td width=\"367\">Established to assist a student in Jewish Studies to pursue a program of study and\/or research at an Israeli university. To be awarded to an outstanding student, preferably a graduate student, to pursue study and\/or research at an Israely university. Demonstrated financial need may be considered. In the event that in any year no suitable graduate student applies, the award may be given to an outstanding undergraduate student in the field of Jewish Studies or Jewish Teacher Education.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"64\">n\/a<\/td>\n<td width=\"255\">The Arnold &amp; Leona Finkler Scholarship<\/td>\n<td width=\"367\">Given annually to a York student participating in the 快播视频 \/ Bar-Ilan University academic exchange. The value of this award is $1000. (Applications for this scholarship must be sent directly to the Canadian Friends of Bar-Ilan).<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>York undergraduate students in Israel register and pay tuition to their host university<\/strong>. Credits may be counted towards the York degree. <\/em><br \/><em>Graduate students must make appropriate arrangements with the Faculty of Graduate Studies.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>**<\/strong> The Tel Aviv Awards will be granted to students from any Faculty that are studying or undertaking research at Tel Aviv University. The eligible recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, Ontario residents who demonstrate financial need. The award will be granted in preference to the following:<\/p>\n<p>1st - to undergraduate students undertaking a study period (semester or full year) at Tel Aviv University.<\/p>\n<p>2nd - to graduate students\u00a0undertaking a study period (semester or full year) at Tel Aviv University.<\/p>\n<p>3rd - to assist with costs to graduate students travelling to Tel Aviv University to conduct research (i.e. airfare, hotel accommodations, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The value of the awards will be granted to the maximum capacity of each endowment's distribution and it is acceptable that one student receive all four Tel Aviv Awards in a single year to increase the overall funds available.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Application Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To obtain university entrance information, please contact the addresses given below.\u00a0All scholarships are open to any full-time York student, who has completed at least one full year at York; they are generally not awarded to students for whom the year in Israel will be their last at York.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For undergraduates, preference will be given to students completing their second year of full-time studies. The academic record of applicants will be given considerable weight.
