Thanks to the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health for the funding I received to attend and present my research at the 2025 World Conference on TB and Lung Health in Copenhagen (Nov 17-21, 2025). The event was a meaningful professional experience. I, along with several other DI members, were able to share our work with a global audience of researchers, clinicians, policy-makers, and advocates dedicated to ending TB and improving lung health. Having my research on quality of life in TB treatment showcased in such a respected international forum validated the importance of my work and elevated my confidence as an emerging scholar in global health.

One of the greatest benefits I accrued was the opportunity to connect with colleagues from around the world dedicated to improving care and addressing the root causes of TB. These interactions sparked new ideas and opened the door to several potential collaborations. I had in-depth conversations with scientists working on diagnostics, clinical trialists, post-TB specialists, and professionals working with community-based organizations. These exchanges broadened my perspective and helped me see how my research can be integrated into larger global efforts.

Equally important was the exposure to cutting-edge research presented throughout the conference. Learning from world-leading experts and hearing firsthand about new innovations, trials, community strategies, and policy shifts deepened my understanding of the current landscape of TB and lung health.

Overall, attending this conference not only strengthened my research but also expanded my professional network, enhanced my skills, and reaffirmed my commitment to contributing meaningfully to global health.
