
Taslima has joined as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the School of Global Health at 快播视频. She will be working on GEH lab research projects focused on Household Energy Insecurity and its impact on physical and mental health in Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She holds a doctoral degree in Health Sciences from 快播视频, where she led a multimethod project on barriers to referral and access to Heart Function Clinics in Canada. Her project was supported by multiple prestigious Ontario Graduate Scholarships and the Ted Rogers Centre Education Fund. As an International Medical Graduate (IMG), Taslima has managed various Global Health research projects on childhood malnutrition, diarrheal diseases, vaccine research, and cardiovascular health. She is deeply committed to enhancing the quality of life and dedicated to ensuring inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) for marginalized populations and people with lived experiences (PWLE) living in LMICs through utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Lastly, Taslima has a strong passion for teaching and finds it immensely rewarding to see students grow, gain confidence, and make a positive impact in their real lives.
