As an intern with the Wellness Impact Lab at the Dahdaleh Institute, Lisa works under the supervision of Dr. Skinner to conduct mini-literature reviews on the application of yoga as a wellness technique to mitigate climate distress. Her research explores the intersection of mental well-being and environmental challenges, contributing to a broader understanding of holistic approaches to climate resilience.

Lisa is also a Research Assistant at the Global Strategy Lab (GSL), where she contributes to the development and implementation of knowledge translation strategies aimed at addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Sophia Bryan-Carbonell is a fourth-year Specialized Honours Psychology student at ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ, specializing in Neuropsychology and Applied Methods and Analysis. She is a Lab Coordinator at the Wellness Impact Lab, where she works closely with Dr. Harvey Skinner and Susan Harris to support research and student engagement initiatives on climate change, wellness, and mental health. Sophia assists in knowledge synthesis projects on nature-based mental health interventions, coordinates the expansion of Climate Cafés, and co-develops The Nest, a student-led initiative that fosters peer support and climate action. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of neuropsychology, addiction, and the mind-body connection, with a commitment to advancing equitable and accessible approaches to mental health care.

Amy is pursuing a Specialized Honours Degree in Psychology, with a focus on neuropsychology and applied methods and analysis. Drawing on her background as a community-based social worker, she plans to pursue a PhD in research psychology. Her long-standing interest in generative AI continues to drive her long-term goal of assisting in the development of assistive tools and technologies that support universal access to education, particularly for learners facing cognitive and learning challenges.

In a previous opportunity with the Dahdaleh Institute, Amy was a Wellness Impact Lab, Global Health Intern [S24] under Harvey Skinner.
