The participants will learn to tell stories from their communities that communicate data, research, and life experiences related to global and planetary health. The workshop will teach specific theories, techniques, and modes of social issue filmmaking and provide hands-on experience with new digital technologies and platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This annual micro film festival on August 19 will wrap up the workshop and showcase their productions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check out the promotional film the participants created together:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"PHFL 2022 Ecuador Edition Promotional Video\" width=\"1778\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zXf3f-ckJj0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Micro Festival de Filmes del Laboratorio de Cine sobre Salud Planetaria 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acomp\u00e1\u00f1enos en este festival que muestra los cortometrajes realizados por j\u00f3venes ind\u00edgenas de Ecuador en la edici\u00f3n de este a\u00f1o del Laboratorio de Cine sobre Salud Planetaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En su tercer a\u00f1o, el Laboratorio de Cine sobre Salud Planetaria es un programa interdisciplinario que culmina con un taller intensivo de una semana de duraci\u00f3n dise\u00f1ado para proporcionar a los participantes conocimientos, habilidades y herramientas para realizar cortometrajes documentales para las Naciones Unidas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dirigido por Mark Terry, investigador asociado del Instituto Dahdaleh, la edici\u00f3n 2022 del Laboratorio de Cine sobre Salud Planetaria se ofrece a j\u00f3venes ind\u00edgenas del Ecuador que tengan una historia que contar sobre cambio clim\u00e1tico y salud, y quieran hacerlo a trav\u00e9s del cine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sus cortometrajes se producir\u00e1n en las lenguas ind\u00edgenas Kichwa o&nbsp;Sh\u00faar,&nbsp;con subt\u00edtulos en Ingl\u00e9s y Espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El grupo ya ha comenzado a reunirse en l\u00ednea, con 20 j\u00f3venes participantes que representan a once comunidades ind\u00edgenas a lo largo y ancho de Ecuador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tras una serie de reuniones en l\u00ednea durante el verano, el grupo se reunir\u00e1 en persona en el mes de agosto para un taller de una semana de duraci\u00f3n en la Escuela Polit\u00e9cnica Nacional, en Quito, Ecuador. Los participantes aprender\u00e1n a contar historias de sus comunidades que comuniquen datos, investigaciones y experiencias de vida relacionadas con la salud global y planetaria.
