Aria Ilyad Ahmad is the Global Health Foresighting Research Fellow at the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research. \u00a0Since 2014, he has also consulted for the World Health Organization\u2019s Department for Essential Medicines and Health Products. \u00a0Aria has testified on pharmaceutical policy issues before the Canadian Senate, consulted on disaster health emergency preparedness for Public Health Ontario, and is a faculty member of the University of Toronto\u2019s Global Health Education Initiative. \u00a0He is a Fellow at the Center for Global Health Security and Diplomacy, past Duke University Global Health Fellow and is a former TEDMED Scholar. \u00a0Aria is on the Board of Directors of the Prescription Justice Institute, previously served on the international board of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines, and was the inaugural M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res \/ Doctors Without Borders Access Fellow. \u00a0He received his MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Toronto and is completing his PhD in Global Health Governance at the Balsillie School of International Affairs in Waterloo, Canada.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":5973,"menu_order":2,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_kad_blocks_custom_css":"","_kad_blocks_head_custom_js":"","_kad_blocks_body_custom_js":"","_kad_blocks_footer_custom_js":""},"categories":[28],"tags":[],"person-type":[15],"research-theme":[19],"stage":[46],"relationship":[63],"class_list":["post-1227","person","type-person","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-person","person-type-research-team","research-theme-foresighting","stage-alum","relationship-internal"],"yoast_head":"\n
