WIL's aim is to promote integrated health and wellness practices for personal growth and collective action. A key focus is strengthening our personal capacities for skillfully turning toward climate distress as a basis for fostering resiliency and initiatives. Our passion is \u2018healing ourselves, healing others, healing our world\u2019. Student 2 (social media, website design and technical expertise) will focus on expanding the digital presence and activities of the Wellness Impact Lab. This includes researching the best practices related to research digital communications and dissemination, creating the YouTube Library of Interbeing Wellness (Stress Busting) videos, and designing social media mechanisms for promoting engagement with Lab initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>a) Interbeing Wellness (Stress Busting) Practices. Qi Gong and Mindfulness Meditation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Assist with the development of an evaluation framework and tools for examining the reach and impact of this online program.<\/li><li>Update the synopsis of research evidence (systematic reviews, empirical studies, qualitative studies) supporting Mindfulness Meditation and Qi Gong (Tai Chi) practices<\/li><li>Help with the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed academic journals and in general media (e.g. The Conversation)<\/li><li>Update the Interbeing Wellness website (http:\/\/interbeingwellness.info.yorku.ca\/) and integrate it with the Dahdaleh Institute website (https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/)<\/li><li>Promote the Spring 2024 series to both York and more broadly using social media and other methods<\/li><li>Create a YouTube Library of selected video recordings of Qi Gong and Mindfulness Meditation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>b) Global Mental Health Online, Open Access, Modularized 90 Minute Mini-Course. Access at: https:\/\/ecampusontario.pressbooks.pub\/psychologycommons\/chapter\/global- mental-health-eastern-indigenous-and-western-perspectives-skinner-h-a-10-04-2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Design and evaluate strategies for promoting the use of this online course for University and College students in Canada and internationally.<\/li><li>Help create and evaluate a Digital Badge credential a representation of the learning acquired through completion of the course.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>c) Mini-Retreat:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Participate in a review of the successes and challenges during the first year of the Wellness Impact Lab (WIL), and a \u2018brainstorming\u2019 SWOT (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis about future priorities and actions.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged. The Dahdaleh Institute welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, including, but not limited to women, persons with disabilities, visible minorities (racialized), Indigenous Peoples and persons of any gender identity and sexual orientation. ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ is committed to a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment.<\/li><li>Specific Qualifications:<ul><li>Strong interest in global health.<\/li><li>Demonstrated skills, experience, and familiarity with conducting literature reviews.<\/li><li>Research methods skills (quantitative and\/or qualitative and\/or integrative).<\/li><li>Analytic skills for understanding, sorting, and categorizing complex information.<\/li><li>Note-taking, journal-keeping, and filing skills.<\/li><li>Sound communication skills: professional written and interactive correspondence, public speaking and presentation. \u2022 Extensive social media and computer skills (word processing, email, database, spreadsheets, forms, and slides; facility with Office 365 Apps). WordPress editing skills are an asset. Social media communication skills are an asset.<\/li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including international and cross-cultural communication.
