This will be a period of transition with Professor Mary Wiktorowicz as the Associate DI Director, and with the very able support of Theresa Dinh, our coordinator and our staff, Charlotte Bull and Natalie Paterson. With support from VPRI, the President\u2019s office, and the Faculty of Health, a new director will be appointed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I could not be prouder of the DI, &nbsp;and of all that we have accomplished since its inauguration in 2017.&nbsp;Together with an outstanding Executive Committee and staff, we have created a rich, and vibrant research community of over 200 members committed to effectiveness, equity and excellence in global health research.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I look forward to my new role&nbsp;as York Professor Emeritus, and Senior Fellow at the DI, and as Principal at Massey College. Orbinski, OC, OOnt, MSC, MA, MD, founding Director of the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research at 快播视频, has been appointed the 7<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Principal of Massey College at the University of Toronto. His appointment begins on a part-time basis on September 1, 2024, through to the end of 2024 when he will take on the Principalship in a full-time capacity. More information can be found in the announcement from Massey College:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.masseycollege.ca\/2024\/08\/16\/announcing-the-7th-principal-of-massey-college\/\">https:\/\/www.masseycollege.ca\/2024\/08\/16\/announcing-the-7th-principal-of-massey-college\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During his time as Director of the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research, James has delivered visionary leadership advancing York\u2019s interdisciplinary research in global health while raising the profile of York\u2019s expertise on a vast range of global issues including antimicrobial resistance, health disparities, climate change, Indigenous health, humanitarian water engineering, among many others. He made substantial contributions to the establishment of important projects, including CIFAL and Y-EMERGE, as well as the School of Global Health and the proposal for the School of Medicine.
