Join us to gain novel insights, discuss new research opportunities, and hear from special guest speaker Professor Kristina Baines (Professor of Anthropology at the City University of New York (CUNY)) who will deliver the keynote presentation titled \"<strong>Heritage in the Body: Sensory Investigations in Global Health Practice<\/strong>\". Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussion during the moderated Q&amp;A following the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 2024 seed grant recipients will present their latest research updates in various fields of global health research in a brief 10-minute presentation. Presenters include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Christo El Morr<\/strong> \u2013 An AI-Driven Tool for Disability Rights Monitoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Raju J. Das<\/strong> \u2013 Scorching Sites: Examining the Health Impacts of Climate Change on Construction Workers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Andrew C. Dawson<\/strong> \u2013 Trust and Compliance: A Cross-National Investigation of the Relationship between Political Trust and Adherence to Public Health Measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"536\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2025\/02\/CPGH-2025-Promo-Poster-1024x536.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13575\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2025\/02\/CPGH-2025-Promo-Poster-1024x536.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2025\/02\/CPGH-2025-Promo-Poster-300x157.png 300w, https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/181\/2025\/02\/CPGH-2025-Promo-Poster.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>This is an open call to York researchers to consider presenting at this year's in-person workshop. <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>York faculty and researchers (with the support of a York faculty member) are invited to deliver a brief <strong>five-minute, two-slide presentation<\/strong> on any current or planned research project that takes a critical social science approach to global health at the workshop. Presenters will receive valuable feedback from experts in the field in preparation for the <u><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/call-for-applications-2025-cpgh\/\">Critical Perspectives in Global Health Seed Grant Applications<\/a><\/span><\/u>&nbsp;(valued up to $7,000 CAD each).
