Note: applicants must be eligible to participate in the Research @ York (RAY) program, see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sfs.yorku.ca\/work-study-programs\/how-to-apply-for-ray-positions\">eligibility criteria<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hourly wage:<\/strong> $19 per hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hours per week:<\/strong> 6 hours per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> September 2, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>End date:<\/strong> April 24, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of Professor Tarra Penney, the Global Health Special Projects Research Assistant 2 (for up to 6 hours per week) will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide administrative and logistical support for the Institute and its members and projects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solicit\/collect, curate, and edit content for the DI website\u2019s resources page and reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take and edit photos of various DI activities e.g., events and DI resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support \u2018photo\u2019 day(s) for members<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize inventory and databases e.g., tracking lending library and physical receipts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure that all records are fully completed\/up to date in various databases related to internal and travel funding, credit card use, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct monthly reviews to ensure there is sufficient documentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct monthly reviews to ensure all tasks are assigned corrected and submitted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acting as a liaison between research participants and York IT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged. Skills and resourcefulness in drawing mind-maps and tabulating information is an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated note-taking, journal-keeping, and filing skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated excellent communication skills: professional written and interactive correspondence, public speaking and presentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated excellent computer skills (word processing, email, database, spreadsheets, forms, and slides; facility with Office 365 Apps). WordPress editing skills are an asset. Social media communication skills are an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including international and cross-cultural communication.
