Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.yorku.ca\/online-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">careers.yorku.ca\/online-system\/<\/a> and search for the posting with the Job ID (listed above).<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong>Hourly Wage:<\/strong> $16.25 per hour<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekly Hours:<\/strong> 13 hours per week<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date:<\/strong> May 10, 2021<\/p>\n<p><strong>End Date:<\/strong> August 27, 2021<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>Job Description<\/h3>\n<p>Under the supervision of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/person\/james-orbinski\/\">Dr. James Orbinski<\/a> , the Design in Global Health RAY student will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design appropriate tools, methods, and communication outputs for planetary health and environmental research at the Dahdaleh Institute including visualizations and infographics<\/li>\n<li>Build an engaged network of design experts, and conduct outreach at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ around design and global health<\/li>\n<li>Developing and operationalizing a transdisciplinary design strategy for the themes of the Dahdaleh Institute as assigned<\/li>\n<li>Support the \u201cModelling the Health Impacts of Climate Change in Malawi\u201d project<\/li>\n<li>Attend and actively participate in a weekly transdisciplinary seminar series on planetary health and environmental research<\/li>\n<li>Provide events support including administrative and logistical support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a digital research archive of resources that are organized in such a way that is user friendly;<\/li>\n<li>Create a series of draft PowerPoint presentations that capture the core conceptual content.<\/li>\n<li>Explore ways in which the research programs at the Dahdaleh Institute could be improved upon through analyzing user statistical data;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Type of research experience the student(s) will receive:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Critical thinking<\/li>\n<li>Conducting literature review<\/li>\n<li>Preparing presentations and written outputs of research<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Type of training and support that will be provided to the student(s) in carrying out these research activities:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Methodological training on data analysis and conducting literature reviews<\/li>\n<li>Subject matter training on global health and design<\/li>\n<li>Regular status meetings with your supervising full-time faculty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: inherit; font-size: 1.56em; font-weight: 600;\">Qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Current undergraduate York student (we encourage applicants from diverse programs of study).
