{"id":7237,"date":"2023-02-24T12:54:49","date_gmt":"2023-02-24T17:54:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/?p=7237"},"modified":"2023-03-06T19:36:58","modified_gmt":"2023-03-07T00:36:58","slug":"job-opportunity-climate-preparedness-support-specialist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/dighr\/job-opportunity-climate-preparedness-support-specialist\/","title":{"rendered":"Job Opportunity \u2013 Climate Preparedness Support Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Humanitarian Action on Climate and Environment, an Doctors Without Borders Canada\/MSF Canada Initiative<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The HACE Climate Preparedness Support Specialist (CPSS) reports to the HACE Lead and is responsible for co-developing and supporting MSF\u2019s climate preparedness and managing the program The CPSS &nbsp;will help HACE achieve its objectives to expose the links between climate change\/environmental degradation and their health and humanitarian consequences, thereby facilitating evidence-based action, operational choices and advocacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Position Status:<\/strong>&nbsp;Temporary contract (April 1, 2023, through March 30, 2024)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activity Rate:<\/strong>&nbsp;100%, 37.5 hours per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong>: Any country where MSF is present. To ensure an easy collaborative work with the HACE team, location between UTC -7 (Pacific Time) and UTC +1 (Central European Time) will be favoured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Status:<\/strong>&nbsp; The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract from one of global MSF offices depending on their resident status. The person must be legally authorized to work in that country.
