Go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.yorku.ca\/online-system\/\">Career Centre portal<\/a> and search for the posting with the Job ID listed above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hourly wage:<\/strong> $17.5 per hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hours per week:<\/strong> 6 hours per week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Start date:<\/strong> September 5, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>End date:<\/strong> April 26, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the supervision of Prof. Wiktorowicz, the Global Health Research RAY student (6 hours per week) will:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Help organize bibliography, book\/library, and global health academic literature<\/li><li>Create and maintain a digital research repository to be accessed by DIFellows, Students, and Researchers.<\/li><li>Design and deliver training and support programs (i.e., workshops and sessions) on various emergent technologies and research dissemination products.<\/li><li>Prepares meeting agendas with supporting documents\/ information including taking minutes, recording actionable items, and ensuring appropriate follows-up.<\/li><li>Act as a representative of the DI at events as assigned.<\/li><li>Attend and actively participate in a weekly transdisciplinary seminar series including writing up content and other knowledge dissemination notes.<\/li><li>Provide events support including administrative and logistical support on research projects.<\/li><li>Complete other duties as assigned.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specific research activities the student(s) will be engaged in:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Gathering data from international government agencies and research organizations;<\/li><li>Compiling and cleaning quantitative and qualitative data in Excel, Word, and other software;<\/li><li>Creating and maintaining a structured and annotated bibliographic review of existing literature organizing resources, projects, and individuals;<\/li><li>Managing sources using reference management software.<\/li><li>Participate in literature reviews and participate in the writing and editing of manuscripts summarizing research.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Type of research experience the student(s) will receive:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Critical thinking<\/li><li>Conducting literature review; Creating annotated bibliography; Tabulating data;<\/li><li>Preparing presentations and written outputs of research; Editing and formatting drafts; Correspondence with partners and workshop invitees;<\/li><li>Professional communication, including international and cross-cultural professional interaction and communication<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Type of training and support that will be provided to the student(s) in carrying out these research activities:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Methodological training on data analysis<\/li><li>Subject matter training on global health<\/li><li>Regular status meetings with your supervising full-time faculty<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Current undergraduate York student. Applicants from diverse programs of study are encouraged. WordPress editing skills are an asset. Social media communication skills are an asset.<\/li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills, including international and cross-cultural communication.
