Transitional Certificate - Year 2 Bachelor of Education Students
Information will be shared with Year 2 BEd students through eClass ED/EDPR 3000 regarding the when it is available in early October. In the meantime, some links are provided here for information.

Concurrent BEd students interested in the OCT Transitional Certificate will need to have their undergraduate degree program completed. Concurrent students without a completed undergraduate degree can 鈥.
- Concurrent BEd students will only see their Bachelor of Education record when applying to graduate online.鈥
- Concurrent students who have not yet applied to graduate from their undergraduate degree at York must complete the PDF form "鈥 and email it to degaud@yorku.ca鈥痓测&苍产蝉辫;October 31, 2025.
- Concurrent students who have already applied for a degree audit will receive notification via email from the Registrar鈥檚 Office to indicate that the process is complete.

EQAO The Mathematics Proficiency Test (MPT)
The test is developed and administered by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO), and successful results will be sent directly to the .
The following are the MPT windows for the 2025鈥2026 school year:
- Monday, September 29, 2025, to Saturday, November 22, 2025
(Registration opens Monday, September 8, 2025) - Monday, January 12, 2026, to Saturday, March 21, 2026

快播视频. Faculty of Education has an exchange partnership with Padagogische Hochschule (PH) Freiburg, Germany. Students can study abroad in the spring of 2026 and plan courses that work towards their BEd or BA Educational Studies /edu/students/international-opportunities/summer-exchange-to-freiburg-germany/ The study abroad dates are from early April 2026 through to July 2026.

REMINDER for the BEd program ED Electives
Maximum numbers of electives required to be completed for the BEd:
- Primary/Junior students must complete three elective courses - one math based, one language/literacy based and one open choice to satisfy their BEd degree requirements.
- Junior/Intermediate students must complete a total of two elective courses - one Math or Literacy based and one open choice to satisfy their BEd degree requirements.
- Intermediate/Senior and Technological Education students candidates must complete a total of three elective courses to satisfy their BEd degree requirements.

Religious Education: Teaching in Catholic Schools - Who Should Attend
Any undergrad BEd student in the final year 鈥 year 2 of the BEd and interested in preparing to teach in Catholic schools. NOTE: This course is open only to 快播视频 Faculty of Education undergraduate students. This course is not equivalent to the Religious Education, Part 1 additional qualification.
