it is designed to help students to develop the skills and experiences that will prepare them to teach in an international location, while also fulfilling the Ontario degree and certification requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">The specialization is offered within the existing BEd degree offerings and requirements, and will allow students to \u201cpackage\u201d their courses and experiences in order to take a specific focus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>In order to complete this concentration, students must:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">Complete all of the requirements for a Bachelor of Education at 快播视频, including these three components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Complete and submit the approved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/28\/2020\/08\/Application-International-SpecializationApplic_29June2017-1-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">checklist\/application<\/a><\/strong>, along with all supporting documentation in original, hard copies by <strong>December 23<\/strong> in the term prior to graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Complete at least one (1) of the following international experience programs for a minimum of one month*:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>York <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/international\/global-learning\/incoming-academic-exchange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">exchange<\/a> or study abroad program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>York <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/international\/global-learning\/outgoing-global-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summer internship<\/a> program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other official international learning experience arranged by the Faculty of Education, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/edu\/travel-based-international-practicum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Practicum Placement<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong>Complete <\/strong><em>two <\/em>(2) of the following <a href=\"https:\/\/w2prod.sis.yorku.ca\/Apps\/WebObjects\/cdm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">courses<\/a> (total 6.00 credits):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ED\/EDUC 2700 (3.00) <em>Teaching Internationally and Interculturally<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ED\/EDUC 3910 (3.00) <em>Reflecting On and Interpreting the International Educational Experience<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ED\/EDUC 2720 (3.00) <em>Teaching English in International Contexts<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ED\/ EDUC 3710 (3.00) <em>Global Issues and Education<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><u>OR<\/u> if participated in a 快播视频 exchange or study abroad program (total 6.00 credits):<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Earn the equivalent of 6.00 York Education elective credits at the internationally-located university <strong>OR <\/strong>earn one (1) of: <em>ED\/EDUC 3910 (3.00) Reflecting On and Interpreting the International Educational Experience <\/em>or <em>ED\/EDUC 2700 (3.00) Teaching Internationally and Interculturally <\/em>or ED\/EDUC 2720 3.00 <em>Teaching English in International Contexts <\/em><strong>and <\/strong>the equivalent of 3.00 York Education electives at the internationally-located university<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:18px\">* This experience is completed in the summer(s) between Year 1 and Year 2 of the Bachelor of Education degree program.<br>Upon confirmation a notation will be added to the student\u2019s transcripts, indicating that the specialization has been completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">The specialization is only open to students in the Bachelor of Education program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Students must complete all of the required activities <em>during <\/em>their BEd degree program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">Students may <em>not <\/em>apply for the transcript notation or specialization retroactively.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-size:18px\">The completion of the Specialization requires the completion of an international learning opportunity. While the Faculty is putting things back in place after the pandemic, please be advised that it may not be possible to complete the requirements each year.
