These benefits are paid centrally and the benefit rates are established to recover the cost of providing these benefits to each employee group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefit rates are reviewed on an annual basis. Changes in benefit rates may result from a variety of factors, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>recent history of benefit claims<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>benefit enhancements\/modifications brought about through renewal collective agreements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>changes to the funded status of the pension plan, which impacts the University\u2019s required contributions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/bam\/forms\/#benefitrates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2025-26 Standard Benefit Rates<\/a>\u00a0(applicable for Funds 100, 200, 300 and 600) are in effect on May 1, 2025. Rates will be updated in the budgeting system and the salary planning file.
