Overview

David Hunter Jorgensen was a graduate of the Master's program in English at ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ and a member of the Doctoral program. His family has established this award in his honour, to recognize a Master’s or Doctoral student with a disability.

Value and Duration

  • One award of up to $5,000 (Subject to change)
  • Non-renewable

Eligibility

  • Full-time or part-time Master's or Doctoral with a disability;
    • Financial need will be considered

Adjudication Description

The award committee is seeking applications that clearly demonstrate a meaningful connection to the theme of critical disability theory and equity.

Your Research Proposal, Personal Statement, and any supporting documents or files should collectively demonstrate:

  • Research/scholarly/creative work impact
  • Knowledge or lived experience as a full-time or part-time Master's or Doctoral student living with a disability.
  • Substantive recommendation from referee
