{"id":36602,"date":"2020-08-26T21:05:30","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T01:05:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gradstudies.yorku.ca\/?post_type=awards&#038;p=36602"},"modified":"2024-08-21T12:02:05","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T16:02:05","slug":"daniel-simeoni-graduate-award-in-translation","status":"publish","type":"awards","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/gradstudies\/awards\/daniel-simeoni-graduate-award-in-translation\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniel Simeoni Graduate Award in Translation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The Daniel Simeoni Graduate Award will be awarded to graduate students in the Translation Studies program at Glendon College who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/gradstudies\/students\/awards-and-scholarships\/york-internal-awards\/residency-requirement-internal-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ontario residents<\/a>*, and demonstrate financial need.<\/p>\n<h3>Value and Duration<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>$1,000 (subject to change)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be registered as a full-time graduate student;<\/li>\n<li>Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person, a resident of Ontario;<\/li>\n<li>Must have an A- average GPA;<\/li>\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Deadline<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>March 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students must apply through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/students.yorku.ca\/sfs\/awards-and-scholarships\">Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships\u00a0(FAAS)<\/a>\u00a0system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Allocation Process<\/h3>\n<p>The Graduate Program in Translation Studies at Glendon College will select a graduate student within the first week of March of the nomination year for this award.<\/p>\n<p>An adjudication committee from the Graduate Program in Translation Studies at Glendon College will select the successful recipient. The Program will inform the successful candidate as well as the Scholarships &amp; Awards Coordinator at the Office of the Dean, Graduate Studies of the recipient within the first week of March.
