The goal of the Sylff Program is to nurture future leaders who will transcend geopolitical, religious, ethnic, and cultural boundaries in the world community for the peace and the well-being of humankind.<br><br>This scholarship is renewable for up to two years for Master's students and for 3 years for doctoral students. This is the most prestigious York internal award at the Master's level and one of the highest valued at the doctoral level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Value and Duration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Master's Level Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scholarship<\/strong>: up to $16,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Doctoral Level Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scholarship:<\/strong>&nbsp;up to $26,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to 2 years of funding is available for Master\u2019s students. Up to 3 years of funding is available for doctoral students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master's and doctoral<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>both Domestic and international students are eligible for this award<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selection criteria includes:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic accomplishments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High potential for leadership in international matters, in public life, and in private endeavors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaged in research related to environmental protection; fine arts; and\/or, political economy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants for admission must be nominated by their graduate program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current undergraduate students entering a master\u2019s program, or master\u2019s students entering a PhD program, should contact their proposed graduate program to request a nomination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Graduate Program Responsibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduate programs are encouraged to identify and nominate outstanding candidates for this award.
