class=\"wp-block-heading\">Residence Offer Acceptance and Confirmation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First year students are encouraged to live in traditional dorm-style residences with a roommate. This arrangement provides an excellent opportunity to meet other students, socialize and study together. Additionally, the convenience of a meal plan is included. Dorm residence is our most affordable option, and cleaning services are provided for common areas and washrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will receive information about the new roommate matching, room selection and housing acceptance process as it becomes available. New student residence offers will begin after respective deadlines. Any changes to the above dates will be communicated via email and our website. For the most up-to-date information regarding our important dates and deadlines, please click <a href=\"https:\/\/yorku.starrezhousing.com\/StarRezPortalX\/D477C85C\/72\/1986\/Unauthenticated_Page-UG_Important_Dates\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residence offers will not include building and room information. Students will have the opportunity to choose their own room through the Room Selection module.<br><br>Information regarding moving into residence will be available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/housing\/keele-campus\/p-keele-undergraduate\/moving\/\" data-type=\"URL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> and will be updated as it gets closer to move-in day. A move-in package email will be sent to residents who accepted a space prior to arrival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waitlisted Applicants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Housing Services will endeavour to update students on wait list status from time to time. First-year students will not be able to select Pond or Atkinson as a preference on their application.
