- Coach and mentor my team who perform duties from permit intake, plans review, permit issuance, to site inspection for Building Permit purposes at municipal level. Efficiencies, consistencies in Building Code interpretations and common objectives are frequently reinforced at regularly held team meetings.
- Work can stretch from responding to inquiries, complaints, and interpretations about Building Code matters, to the practice of proactively designing and implementing a system of work that reinforces our Service Excellence priorities, that’s in meeting our customers’ expectations and unmet needs.
- Support Chief Building Official with the administration and enforcement of the Building Code Act and the Building Code in ensuring statutory duties are met.
- Act as Chief Building Official and exercise independent judgement when required.
- Understand concept of Administrative Law & Ethics, Objectives in Public Service, Public Finance and Accounting for budget preparation process
