Sandra Gortana is an accomplished senior executive with over 28 years of Internal Audit experience, 37 years of Financial Services experience and is currently the SVP & Deputy Chief Auditor at TD Bank Group. Sandra's organizational breadth includes North American and UK experience, Internal Audit, Operational and Retail Credit Risk, Canadian Personal Banking and Pension Trust Operations.  

Sandra leads her teams and encourages an innovative auditing approach leveraging tools such as data & analytics, video surveillance to assess control adherence in a virtual environment, as well as functional audits to dive deeper into specific processes. In addition to leading and building a great team of professional auditors based in Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland and the US, she has been selected to lead the overall TD Finance Black Experience Inclusion and Diversity Leadership Committee.  

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling with her husband and two children and volunteering for great causes such as the Cancer and Alzheimer Society.
