My Co-op Program experience has been extremely beneficial, as it has introduced me to a field of interest that I otherwise would not have explored.

— Keisha Porter
International Development Studies & Public Administration

The LAPS Co-op Program gave me the opportunity to intern at RBC Global Asset Management as a Marketing & Community Engagement Intern. I was able to explore new fields and gain hands on experience while building my network!

— Zanta Yee Fong

I joined the Co-op Program in hopes of gaining some experience in the Marketing field before graduating from university. Although I have faced some challenges in my workplace, the Co-op Program advisors at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ were very helpful in terms of resolving these issues. I felt very cared for as they would respond to my emails within 1-2 business days and would have monthly check-in calls to make sure that new or existing skills/knowledge were gained or enhanced. I would recommend everyone to do a co-op at least once before starting a career as it offers invaluable real-world experience where practical skills and insights cannot be replicated in a traditional academic setting.

— Josephine Lee

I would highly recommend for students to join the LA&PS Co-op Program and look into co-op opportunities! Through my co-op at Pratt & Whitney, I was able to apply content I learned in my various HR courses in legitimate business scenarios. Participating in a co-op has been such an enriching experience, as it has equipped me with the skills and knowledge I need to succeed in the workplace.

I learned a ton about what a real professional job is like, and a bit about myself and how I work, and what I need to change to be better.
