They will also be asked to identify a set of relevant courses from LA&amp;PS and other faculties. If the program coordinator is satisfied that the proposed subject cannot be adequately pursued under an established program and that appropriate resources exist in the given area, permission will be granted. All approved general education courses may count for general education credits; some may count for major credits; none may count as both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Specialized Honours BA: 120 Credits<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must pass at least 120 credits meeting the Faculty's degree and program requirements with a cumulative grade point average of at least 5.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General education: a minimum of 21 general education credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Major credits: students in individualized studies must successfully complete and follow all the regulations for a degree in Specialized Honours in the Faculty of Liberal Arts &amp; Professional Studies. In addition, they must take, as part of the 54 credits relevant to their theme, the Individualized Studies Thesis Course, AP\/INDV 4000 6.00. This course is to be taken during the student's final year of study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> at least 12 credits in the major at the 4000 level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Upper-level credits:<\/strong> at least 36 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level, including at least 18 credits at the 4000 level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Credits outside the major:<\/strong> at least 18
