{"id":13130,"date":"2021-08-12T17:38:26","date_gmt":"2021-08-12T21:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/president\/?p=13130"},"modified":"2022-02-14T12:39:30","modified_gmt":"2022-02-14T17:39:30","slug":"new-vaccine-requirement-at-york-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/president\/2021\/08\/12\/new-vaccine-requirement-at-york-university\/","title":{"rendered":"New Vaccine Requirement at 快播视频 | Nouvelle obligation de vaccination \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 York"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear York Community,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The health and safety of our community members remains our highest priority, and we continue to advance&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/bettertogether\/top-12-ways-york-is-welcoming-yu-back\/\">multiple strategies and initiatives<\/a>&nbsp;to protect our students, staff, faculty, instructors, and researchers from COVID-19.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At yesterday\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/conversations.info.yorku.ca\/first-page\/webcast\/\">Town Hall<\/a>, we discussed the University\u2019s plans to support a safe return to campus, and our support for the Council of Ontario Universities'&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ontariosuniversities.ca\/calling-for-a-province-wide-vaccine-policy-and-safe-pass\">call<\/a> on the provincial government to declare a provincial vaccine mandate for post-secondary institutions and a COVID Safe Pass vaccine verification process.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After consultations with stakeholders across the University, including student and employee groups, York will require all community members and visitors on our campuses this fall to be vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to medical and human rights exemptions, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vaccination is the most powerful tool we have to protect ourselves and our communities from COVID-19. Nous avons \u00e9galement joint notre voix au Conseil des universit\u00e9s de l\u2019Ontario qui&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ontariosuniversities.ca\/calling-for-a-province-wide-vaccine-policy-and-safe-pass\">demande<\/a> au gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de rendre la vaccination obligatoire au sein de toutes les institutions d\u2019enseignement postsecondaire, accompagn\u00e9e d\u2019un syst\u00e8me de v\u00e9rification des passeports vaccinaux. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s avoir consult\u00e9 divers intervenants au sein de notre Universit\u00e9, dont des membres de la population \u00e9tudiante et du personnel, York imposera la vaccination contre la COVID-19 d\u00e8s cet automne pour tout membre de la communaut\u00e9 ou visiteur qui souhaite se rendre sur nos campus, sous r\u00e9serve d\u2019exemptions pour des raisons m\u00e9dicales ou des droits de la personne, selon les lois et r\u00e8glements applicables. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La vaccination est l\u2019arme la plus efficace en notre possession pour nous prot\u00e9ger, nous-m\u00eames et notre communaut\u00e9, contre la COVID-19.
