Dear York Community, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my last update<\/a>, I shared that York will require all individuals coming to our campuses this fall to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Since then, I am very pleased to learn that the Council of Ontario Medical Officers of Health<\/a> has recommended that all post-secondary institutions across the province require proof of vaccination for those coming to campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we work to finalize the details of our strategy, I can confirm that this September the University will require all members of the community to provide proof of full vaccination or an exemption based on a validated medical or human rights ground.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community members will use the YU Screen tool to submit proof of vaccination or an approved exemption. YU Screen will be ready to accept this documentation on September 7 and all information that is collected here will be subject to strict privacy and confidentiality requirements.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who cannot be vaccinated or who are awaiting their first or second dose will be required to adhere to additional health and safety measures, including frequent testing. Between September 7 and October 19 (the date whereby proof of having received a full vaccination series is required), those attending activities on York\u2019s campuses who are not yet fully vaccinated (including those with approved exemptions), will be required to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recognize that not every community member will be able to be fully vaccinated by the first day of the Fall Term. Some time will also be needed to process exemption requests for medical or other reasons recognized by the Ontario Human Rights Code. I want to assure you that the University will make every effort to support community members to receive their vaccinations in a timely way, and to access testing in the meantime where needed.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continue to partner with Humber River Hospital to offer a series of vaccine clinics<\/a> on the Keele Campus in August and September. As well, those who are eligible and who study or work on the Glendon Campus will be able to access walk-in vaccination clinics<\/a> offered through Sunnybrook Hospital. Community members are also reminded that vaccines are widely available in Canada on a walk-in basis through local public health units and community pharmacies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well, anyone who is vaccinated in Ontario can prove that they have been fully vaccinated by uploading the physical or emailed receipt that was provided to them at the time of vaccination from the Ministry of Health. Vaccination receipts can be downloaded through the provincial portal<\/a> or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900. Those arriving from out of province will need to provide proof of vaccination in that province and anyone arriving to Canada from international destinations can use the proof of vaccination<\/a> that was required for upload to the ArriveCAN app prior to entry into Canada. 快播视频 recognizes both World Health Organization and Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recognize that there are still many questions about how this will be rolled out within our community. We will be sharing more specific details and instructions on the new process that will support this requirement before September 7. Je me r\u00e9jouis d\u2019apprendre que depuis le Conseil des m\u00e9decins hygi\u00e9nistes de l\u2019Ontario<\/a> a recommand\u00e9 que tous les \u00e9tablissements postsecondaires de la province requi\u00e8rent une preuve de vaccination pour les personnes fr\u00e9quentant les campus. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alors que nous finalisons les d\u00e9tails de notre strat\u00e9gie, je peux confirmer qu\u2019au mois de septembre, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 exigera de tous les membres de la communaut\u00e9 qu\u2019ils fournissent la preuve d\u2019une vaccination compl\u00e8te ou d\u2019une exemption fond\u00e9e sur un motif m\u00e9dical ou de droits de la personne valid\u00e9.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les membres de la communaut\u00e9 devront utiliser l\u2019outil YU D\u00e9pistage\/YU Screen pour soumettre leur preuve de vaccination ou une exemption approuv\u00e9e. L\u2019outil YU D\u00e9pistage sera pr\u00eat \u00e0 accepter cette documentation le 7 septembre; toutes les informations recueillies seront assujetties \u00e0 des exigences strictes en mati\u00e8re de vie priv\u00e9e et de confidentialit\u00e9.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les personnes qui ne peuvent pas \u00eatre vaccin\u00e9es ou qui attendent leur premi\u00e8re ou deuxi\u00e8me dose devront se soumettre \u00e0 des mesures de sant\u00e9 et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 suppl\u00e9mentaires, notamment des tests de d\u00e9pistage fr\u00e9quents. Entre le 7 septembre et le 19 octobre (date \u00e0 laquelle une preuve de vaccination compl\u00e8te sera requise), les personnes participant \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s sur les campus de York qui ne sont pas encore enti\u00e8rement vaccin\u00e9es, y compris celles ayant des exemptions approuv\u00e9es, devront fournir la preuve d\u2019un r\u00e9sultat n\u00e9gatif \u00e0 un test de d\u00e9pistage de la COVID-19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous sommes conscients que tous les membres de la communaut\u00e9 ne pourront pas \u00eatre compl\u00e8tement vaccin\u00e9s avant le premier jour du trimestre d\u2019automne. Il faudra \u00e9galement un certain temps pour traiter les demandes d\u2019exemption pour des raisons m\u00e9dicales ou autres reconnues par le Code des droits de la personne de l\u2019Ontario.<\/em> Je tiens \u00e0 vous assurer que l\u2019Universit\u00e9 fera tout son possible pour appuyer les membres de la communaut\u00e9 afin qu\u2019ils re\u00e7oivent leurs vaccins en temps voulu et qu\u2019ils aient acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des tests de d\u00e9pistage entre-temps si n\u00e9cessaire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous poursuivons notre partenariat avec l\u2019h\u00f4pital Humber River pour offrir des cliniques de vaccination<\/a> sur le campus Keele en ao\u00fbt et en septembre. De plus, les personnes admissibles qui \u00e9tudient ou travaillent sur le campus de Glendon pourront acc\u00e9der aux cliniques de vaccination sans rendez-vous<\/a> de l\u2019h\u00f4pital Sunnybrook. De plus, toute personne vaccin\u00e9e en Ontario peut prouver qu\u2019elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement vaccin\u00e9e en t\u00e9l\u00e9chargeant le re\u00e7u papier ou le courriel du minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 remis au moment de la vaccination. Les re\u00e7us de vaccination peuvent aussi \u00eatre t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9s sur le portail Web provincial<\/a>l<\/a> ou en appelant la ligne provinciale de r\u00e9servation des vaccins au 1-833-943-3900. Les \u00e9tudiants et \u00e9tudiantes qui arrivent au Canada en provenance d\u2019autres provinces devront fournir la preuve de leur vaccination dans leur province d\u2019origine et ceux et celles en provenance de destinations internationales pourront utiliser la preuve de vaccination<\/a> qui devait \u00eatre t\u00e9l\u00e9charg\u00e9e dans l\u2019application ArriveCAN avant leur entr\u00e9e au Canada. L\u2019Universit\u00e9 York reconna\u00eet les vaccins contre la COVID-19 qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 approuv\u00e9s par l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 et par Sant\u00e9 Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
