This position is located at Trent\u2019s Peterborough campus and is subject to budgetary approval. As a multi-disciplinary Indigenous Studies program entering its second half century, the Chanie Wenjack School brings together knowledge and perspectives from many disciplines to engage in informed and grounded dialogue, discussion, and research. The York Indigenous Research Seed Fund is intended to support foundational and pilot research leading to larger and\/or continuing projects. This fund is intended to support Indigenous scholars, especially early career researchers (ECR) who may have a project in a development phase and require funds to generate preliminary results, as well as those with a fully defined project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Administrative Assistant to the Vice & Associate Directors, Connected Minds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Administrative Assistant plays an integral role supporting the operations of the new Connected Minds program, by providing dedicated efficient, professional, and confidential support to the program Vice Director and Associate Director related to both the Connected Minds program and other related research and admin undertaken by Directors. The role will be a key liaison between Vice and Associate Director to students, faculty, staff and high-level internal and external contacts to facilitate program activities. As the first point of contact to the Vice and Associate Directors, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for assessing the importance and urgency of issues that arise and determining the best course of action in addressing the issues, triaging where necessary. The incumbent must be a quick learner and able to adapt in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. The Administrative Assistant will play an active role towards contributing to Connected Minds\u2019 commitment in supporting equity, diversity and inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
