He is focused on gender, participatory action research, and decentralized water infrastructure in urban settings. He has worked in Sierra Leone for the last 3 years, and is performing his PhD research in the informal settlements there, hoping to work with individuals, communities, and the municipal government to improve water security and reduce the everyday burdens that water scarcity brings.
