The Community Safety 快播视频 Department\u2019s Campus Relations Officials collaborate with individuals and groups on and off campus on projects to promote safety. Regularly, Campus Relations Officials are called on to train and give safety presentations to student, staff and faculty organizations that promote dialogue about crime prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department compiles and analyzes statistical information to formulate crime prevention programs and services. The Department also fosters Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) to make it harder, riskier, or less rewarding for people to commit crimes. The CPTED program introduces ways to deter crime by changing the design of buildings and public spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event Planning<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For on-campus events, the Department works with other departments to provide safety and security event assessments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To inquire about booking a space or planning an event on campus, please see the Office of Temporary Use of Space<\/a> or, if you are a member of a student club, visit YU Connect.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety Presentations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Campus Relations Officials are available to provide safety presentations to the community. Our presentations can be tailored from five minutes up to an hour. If you would like to request a safety presentation, reach out to our team by sending an email to safety@yorku.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parent\/Student Orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year the Campus Relations Officials meet with both current and potential students. We also meet with and conduct orientation sessions for the family\/parents of the potential students to provide information on the programs and services the Community Safety 快播视频 Department offers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
