Modeling and forecasting of weather and climate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am an active developer of advanced numerical modeling and data assimilation systems for studying weather and climate. I utilize state-of-the-art numerical models and ensemble-based data assimilation techniques to improve weather forecasts, regional climate predictions, and air-quality forecasts. Particularly, I am interested in mesoscale dynamics and severe weather.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","department":[],"research-area":[14],"un-goal":[],"research-method":[30,29],"graduate-program-membership":[40],"graduate-program-physics":[68],"admin-faculty-title-department":[],"program":[],"class_list":["post-1024","faculty","type-faculty","status-publish","hentry","research-area-planetary","research-method-computational","research-method-theoretical","graduate-program-membership-physics-gp","graduate-program-physics-grad-program-physics-full-member"],"yoast_head":"\n
