The enrolment process varies depending on the program and student. Sign into <a href=\"http:\/\/yorku.ca\/myfile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MyFile<\/a>, to begin the enrolment process. We recommend that you begin the enrolment process as soon as possible, as courses fill on a first-come first-registered basis, meaning the earlier you enrol the more likely you are to get your preferred timetable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click: <strong>\u201cFind out How and When I Can Enrol\u201d <\/strong>in the column on the left-hand side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you see \u201cBook\/Manage\u201d in the Advising column next to your program name<\/strong>, you must book an enrolment appointment. Click the link provided there and follow the instructions to book your appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enrolment appointments are <em>mandatory<\/em> for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Data Science and Undecided Major Students;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transfer students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An advisor may set up an appointment for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students who are recommended or required to take preparatory courses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>YUELI Students and students who have an English language requirement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>If you see \u201cLearn When your Online Course Enrolment Begins\u201d in the Advising column next to your program name<\/strong>, you must complete your enrolment\/course selection online through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yustart\/\">YU START<\/a>. Reach out to <a href=\"mailto:sciappts@yorku.ca\">sciappts@yorku.ca<\/a> to schedule an alternative appointment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are still unable to attend your enrolment appointment, you can opt to have a friend or family member attend the appointment on your behalf. At ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ, any information pertaining to a student\u2019s record is considered confidential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please complete a <a href=\"https:\/\/futurestudents.yorku.ca\/sites\/all\/files\/pdfs\/third-party-access.pdf\">Third Party Access form<\/a> and send to <a href=\"mailto:sciappts@yorku.ca\">sciappts@yorku.ca<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must also provide this individual with a letter from you stating that you authorize them to act on your behalf during the enrolment and registration process. Your letter must include your name, student number, your signature, the name of the representative and a brief statement outlining what the representative may have access to and what they are allowed to do on your behalf. The individual whom you choose to attend the appointment will be selecting and enrolling you into your courses, therefore ensure that you have complete confidence in the person who will be attending the appointment on your behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Representatives who do not present a signed Third Party Access form at the time of the appointment will not be able to complete the enrolment process and will have to reschedule.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your representative will be expected to participate in the enrolment appointment as if they are a student. If you opt to have a representative, you should discuss any academic concerns, goals, or questions that you want them to discuss with your advisor during the enrolment appointment. Your representative should also be prepared to answer questions from advisors pertaining to your course selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
