From launching their own high-flying bottle rockets to building working skeletal hands that reveal the science of movement, campers will step into the role of real inventors. They\u2019ll also explore the world of circuits and creativity by designing a custom game controller using Makey Makey technology. This year, campers will explore reaction kinetics through the dramatic Iodine Clock Reaction, develop essential lab skills with an introduction to microscopy, and dive into anatomy with a detailed dissection to better understand biological structures. There are two 15-minute breaks (morning and afternoon) and one 1-hour lunch for students to use the washrooms, have a snack, and enable camp staff to implement camp room cleaning procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lunch is not provided and will be held indoors. We recommend using ice packs for your child's lunch, as we do not have the facilities to refrigerate lunches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allergies are an increasing concern, particularly nut allergies. We do implement a nut-safe lunch policy for the safety of our campers. We ask that you pack nut-free lunches for all campers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading border-top pt-2\">Before- and After-Care (Keele campus only)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Camp runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Before- and after-camp care is supervised, unscheduled time. Science magazines, books, puzzles, and games are available for campers.
