“My connection to York began as a student, where I experienced firsthand the university’s commitment to accessibility, diversity, and real-world impact. That foundation shaped both my personal and professional trajectory. My involvement today is driven by a desire to give back to an institution that opens doors for so many and to help ensure future generations benefit from the same opportunities.”

Michael A. Eubanks is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at goeasy Ltd., where he leads enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, data, and innovation to support one of Canada’s leading non-prime financial services organizations. Since joining goeasy in 2020, he has played a key role in advancing cloud adoption, modernizing platforms, and enabling a more data-driven, customer-centric business model.

With more than two decades of experience in technology leadership, Michael has built a distinguished career at the intersection of retail, financial services, and digital innovation. Prior to goeasy, he served as Chief Information Officer at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, where he led large-scale modernization initiatives, including the development of omni-channel capabilities and cloud-based platforms that significantly enhanced customer experience and operational agility.

Across these roles, he has consistently demonstrated the ability to translate strategic vision into execution while building high-performing, inclusive teams.
