Ian Macdonald. The award namesake, Ronald Kent, had a unique personal commitment to the University showcased through years of dedicated service. His sincerity and enthusiasm were infectious, and easily spread across other departments. He was considered a true ambassador for 快播视频. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A dedicated member of President Macdonald\u2019s staff, Ronald Kent passed away suddenly on campus in the late 1970\u2019s. The award consists of a silver framed medal. The winner\u2019s name will also be engraved on an annual plaque and displayed in the winner\u2019s home department for one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nominee promotes and strengthens collegiality at 快播视频<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee consistently goes above and beyond what is required of them in their position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee promotes the values (excellence, progressive, sustainability, inclusivity, diversity, social justice and equity) and goals of 快播视频<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A full time and permanent employee at York who has been employed for five continuous years as of December 31, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A non-academic staff member (Only members of YUSA or CUPE 1356 are eligible)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nomination Package<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Nominator is responsible for putting together a nomination file that consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Three (3) Letters Maximum\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) lead nomination letter from the chief nominator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two (2) letters of support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employment Background\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The nominee's C.V. or work history at 快播视频<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The job description of the nominee's current position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please feel free to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/staffawards\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/373\/2025\/12\/The-Ronald-Kent-Medal-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download this checklist<\/a>&nbsp;to help you compile the nomination file and to ensure you have met all of the requirements before completing the online nomination form. NOTE: This checklist does not need to be uploaded on the nomination form, and is for your reference only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nomination Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) of the letters must be from the nominee\u2019s current Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The chief nominator and one (1) supporting nominator, OR two (2) of the supporting nominators must be from outside of the nominee\u2019s home department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each letter is from an individual author (multiple authors on a letter are not permitted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-nominations are not permitted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Letter Formatting and Content Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each letter does not exceed a total of three (3) pages, and the total number of pages of ALL letters combined does not exceed nine (9) pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific examples are used to describe how the nominee:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contributes to the goals and objectives of their office, division and\/or the broader York Community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meets or exceeds each of the award criteria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quotations from other persons are not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No acronyms are used in the letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not include any references or confidential documents such as employee performance ratings or evaluations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Excellence is everywhere at York.
