The winner will receive a small commemorative plaque, have their name engraved on the award display in Vari Hall, and be recognized on an annual plaque that will be showcased in the winner\u2019s home department for one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nominee adheres to a standard of professionalism that inspires others<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee demonstrates creativity and innovation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee demonstrates leadership in promoting collaborative efforts and a sense of collegiality across the University and beyond<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee demonstrates community impact outside of the stated requirements of the position (this can include internal or external community-based participation such as committee work, service on volunteer boards or in an organization)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee regularly and consistently performs at a level that exceeds the requirements of their position and the performance is noticed and has had a significant impact on the unit or Division<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nominee demonstrates initiative that has had an impact on the University beyond the nominee\u2019s department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A full time, permanent employee at York who has been employed for five continuous years as of December 31, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A member of the Confidential, Professional and Managerial employee group (CPM).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nomination File Requirements&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Nominator is responsible for putting together a nomination file that consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Three (3) Letters Maximum\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) lead nomination letter from the chief nominator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two (2) letters of support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employment Background\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The nominee's C.V. or work history at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The job description of the nominee's current position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please feel free to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/staffawards\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/373\/2026\/01\/Presidents-Leadership-Award-2025.pdf\" data-type=\"page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">download this checklist&nbsp;<\/a>to help you compile the nomination file and ensure you have met all of the requirements before completing the online nomination form. NOTE: This checklist does not need to be uploaded with the nomination form and is for your reference only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nomination Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Nominator is responsible for putting together a nomination file that consists of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One (1) of the letters must be from the nominee\u2019s current Manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The chief nominator and one supporting nominator, OR two (2) of the supporting nominators must be from outside of the nominee\u2019s home department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each letter is from an individual author (multiple authors on a letter are not permitted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Self-nominations are not permitted<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Letter Formatting and Content Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each letter does not exceed a total of three (3) pages, and the total number of pages of ALL letters combined does not exceed nine (9) pages<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specific examples are used to describe how the nominee:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contributes to the goals and objectives of their office, division and\/or the broader York Community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meets or exceeds each of the award criteria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quotations from other persons are not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No acronyms are used in the letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not include any references or confidential documents such as employee performance ratings or evaluations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Excellence is everywhere at York.
