罢丑别听聽(RCEs on ESD) is a global programme initiated and administered by the United Nations University鈥檚 Institute for the Advanced Studies on Sustainability (UNU-IAS). Since its launch in 2005, to coincide with beginning of the UN Decade of ESD (2005-2014), the RCE sites have grown to now engage over 150 cities and regions around the world. The RCE concept is to explore how the core elements of ESD, i.e., education, public awareness, and training, can help to create more sustainable communities. The RCE networks work both locally to bring ESD policy into local practice, and collectively by collaboratively sharing their expertise in a 鈥淕lobal Learning Space鈥.
