The four goals of the Community Relations team have remained the same, though within those goals, our focus has been on the ways in which 快播视频 can support our community partners during this extremely difficult time.&nbsp; Here are some of the highlights from over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.3%\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image img-thumbnail rounded-0\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/unit\/gcrp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/49\/2021\/12\/Mayor_Scrapitti-300x206-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-812\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.6%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mayor Scarpitti's Lunar New Year Celebration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For a second year in a row, 快播视频 was a proud sponsor of Mayor Scarpitti\u2019s 2020 Lunar New Year Celebration to ring in the year of the rat. This is one of the largest lunar new year celebrations in Markham and a fantastic way to interact with a wide variety of local community members. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-uppercase font-weight-bold\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns card-deck aspect-ratio is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Community Skate Day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2020, 快播视频 organized a community skate day at the Markham Civic Centre ice rink.&nbsp; There was lots of hot chocolate and games and prizes for local skaters to enjoy.&nbsp; Community members also had a chance to take their picture with Yeo the lion and spend time speaking directly with President Lenton. This event attracted over 200 skaters and the local MPP, Billy Pang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-uppercase font-weight-bold\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large img-thumbnail rounded-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/unit\/gcrp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/49\/2022\/03\/SKATEDAYN-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-902\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.3%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full img-thumbnail rounded-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"165\" height=\"258\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/unit\/gcrp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/49\/2021\/12\/Carnegie.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-848\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.6%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Carnegie Classification for Community Engagement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p> In 2019, 快播视频 joined a small group of Canadian post-secondary institutions to participate in a Canadian Pilot of the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification system.&nbsp; Carnegie is considered the leading framework for recognizing and describing community engagement in U.S. higher education. Throughout 2020 and 2021, members of York\u2019s Carnegie Steering Committee completed the Carnegie Classification Framework document and are continuing to reflect on that experience with other members of the pilot to decide if the framework is an appropriate tool for Higher Education Institutions to use in Canada. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-uppercase font-weight-bold\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Community Engagement Community of Practice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>2020 changed the way we did so many things, and community engagement was no exception.&nbsp; The Community Engagement Community of Practice convened four meetings to provide any staff or faculty that practice community engagement to come together to explore new ways of engaging safely while staying apart. Beyond providing practical tips and best practices for remote forms of engagement, the group also served as a touchpoint for colleagues to reconnect and support one another during these challenging times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"text-uppercase font-weight-bold\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large img-thumbnail rounded-0\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/markham.yorku.ca\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/1790\/files\/markham-centre-campus\/View-from-the-Southeast-across-the-Common.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:35px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns card-deck aspect-ratio is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BigArtTO<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From September 22 \u2013 25 2021, 快播视频 participated in the City of Toronto\u2019s BigArtTO initiative.&nbsp;
