As one of two leading Canadian universities to improve in the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, York edged up by two spots, ranking 61st among North American public universities.
Dr. Hovorka has provided outstanding leadership during her first term. She led the 2020 merger of the Faculty of Environmental Studies and the Department of Geography into the Faculty of Environmental & Urban Change and inaugurated new governance structures that brought their respective norms and cultures into a new, integrated whole.
Dr. Goodyer provided excellent leadership during her first term, in which the Lassonde School of Engineering has grown enrolments, its faculty complement, as well as research and teaching facilities.Â
Dr. Robinson comes to York from Trent University where, for the past 10 years, she has served as associate vice-president students.Â
