Katie McMillan, a doctoral candidate in ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµâ€™s Graduate Program in Theatre Studies, is the inaugural Theatre Criticism & Engagement Intern with the World Stage program at Toronto’s Harbourfront Centre.
Over the next several
months, she will be writing about her experience of productions featured in the series, offering her thoughts and insights as a catalyst for public discussion and engagement with the works.
McMillan’s first blog contribution – an informal, personal response to the opening-night performance of the Wayne McGregor-Random Dance production  – is now live on , Harbourfront Centre’s World Stage blog.

McMillan’s internship is just one component of a lively, ongoing that the Faculty of Fine Arts and Harbourfront Centre launched in 2010 to nurture a vibrant and thriving arts ecology in Toronto. Along with residencies and workshops held on campus by renowned guest artists from World Stage shows, the collaboration has also led to the establishment of production internships on-site at Harbourfront Centre, extending for York’s undergraduate fine arts students.
