Last fall 2024, during the term of Lisa Philipps’ reappointment as provost and vice-president academic, she agreed to assume the role of senior policy advisor to the president on a temporary basis.
The senior policy advisor to the president is ending on June 30, 2025.ÌýEffective July 1, 2025 Philipps will be resuming the duties and responsibilities of provost and vice-president academic until a new provost and vice-president academic takes up the role at the conclusion of the search that is currently in advanced stages.
In resuming her active duties as provost and vice-president academic, Philipps will steward the implementation of the ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Forward Action plan, including advancing the Faculties of the Future recommendations.
Effective July 1, 2025, Interim Provost and Vice-President Academic David Peters will continue as dean of record for the School of Medicine and resumes his position as dean of the , and Interim Dean Chris Ardern will resume his previous role as associate dean, research in Faculty of Health.
