
Each fall and winter, the rates of respiratory viruses such as influenza and COVID-19 increases.
COVID-19 and flu shots are now available at participating pharmacies, local public health units and primary care providers. Community members can visit the Shoppers Drug Mart at York Lanes on ¿ì²¥ÊÓÆµ's Keele Campus to receive vaccines.

Anyone with new symptoms of illness, or who has recently tested positive for COVID-19, is advised to stay home and follow up with their primary care provider if needed.

Tips to stay healthy during flu season
- stay up-to-date with vaccinations
- cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or a tissue
- wash hands for at least 15 seconds or sanitize hands often
- clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- consider wearing a high-quality, well-fitting mask in crowded indoor public settings with poor ventilation, especially if you or people around you are at higher risk getting sick
- stay home if you are sick and follow applicable sick reporting protocol in your area
