The Olimpiad S. Ioffe Professor of International & Comparative Law Peter Lindseth of the University of Connecticut\u2019s School of Law will deliver the third European Union Centre of Excellence (EUCE) Lecture in European Law & Governance.<\/p>\n

Lindseth will talk about \u201cPower and Legitimacy: Reconciling Europe and the Nation-State\u201d March 8, from 12:30 to 2pm in 108 Osgoode Hall Law School, Keele campus. York Professor Sakis Gekas, \"\"the Hellenic Heritage Foundation Chair in Modern Greek History, will be the discussant.<\/p>\n

A professor at Yale Law School, Princeton University and Columbia University, Lindseth<\/a> has also\u00a0held fellowships at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal History in Frankfurt, the European University Institute in Florence and the French Council of State in Paris, among o\"\"ther institutions.<\/p>\n

He is the author of \u00a0<\/span><\/a>Power and Legitimacy: Reconciling Europe and the Nation-State<\/em><\/a> (Oxford University Press, 2010), co-editor of Comparative Administrative Law (Edward Elgar Publishing, 2010) and \u00a0Transatlantic Regulatory Cooperation: Legal Problems and Political Prospects<\/em> (Oxford University Press, 2000), and co-author of Administrative Law of the European Union: Oversight<\/em>\u00a0(ABA Publishing, 2008).<\/p>\n
