If so, you should\u00a0consider taking part in a study led by York health Professor Sherry Grace.<\/p>\n<p>Cardiac rehabilitation is a medically-supervised, outpatient disease management program that includes exercise, education on heart healthy living, and counseling to help you in your recovery. It is recommended that all heart patients go, as it greatly improves your health over the long term.<\/p>\n<p>A new research study is seeking to understand how such programs can better meet the needs of female heart patients. This study involves having an equal chance to attend either a co-ed, women-only or home-based cardiac rehabilitation program.<\/p>\n<p>The program is provided at no charge to study participants.
