Everyone is welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>David Goldstein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The readers will include Jennifer Duncan (BA Hons. \u201993), Rishma Dunlop, David Goldstein, Michael Helm, Patricia Keeney, Margo Swiss and Priscila Uppal (BA Hons. \u201997, PhD \u201904).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-172657\" style=\"margin: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2012\/09\/RishmaDunlopOfficialAuthorShot-234x300.jpg\" alt=\"Rishma Dunlop head shot\" width=\"98\" height=\"126\" \/>Rishma Dunlop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The series will feature readings in fiction, poetry and creative non-fiction by Ken Babstock; Miriam Toews; John Barton; Christopher Doda and Ray Robertson, co-editors of The Best Canadian Essays; as well as graduates of <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-172615\" style=\"margin: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2012\/09\/MichaelHelmbyAlexandra-Rockingham-241x300.jpg\" alt=\"Michael Helm head shot \" width=\"102\" height=\"126\" \/>York's Creative Writing and English programs Meaghan Strimus, Leigh Kotsilidis and Samantha Bernstein. More readers will be announced in January.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Helm<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Creative Writing program was founded at York in 1975. Over the years, the program has boasted Don Coles, Frank Davey, Irving Layton, Eli Mandel, Don <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-172616\" style=\"margin: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2012\/09\/PatriciaKeeneyNew-209x300.jpg\" alt=\"Patricia Keeney head shot\" width=\"100\" height=\"144\" \/>Summerhayes and Miriam Waddington among its faculty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>Patricia Keeney<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Graduates of the program include Nino Ricci, Jason Guriel (who also teaches), <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-172617\" style=\"margin: 8px;\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2012\/09\/PriscilaUppalTwo.jpg\" alt=\"Priscila Uppal head shot\" width=\"108\" height=\"162\" \/>Michael Redhill, Shyam Selvadurai, Jason Sherman and Eliza Clark. Many have gone on to win national and international writing prizes \u2013 Governor General's Literary Awards, the Chalmers Award, the Emily Dickinson Prize for poetry, the Bronwen Wallace Award and many others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Priscila Uppal<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The series is named for the on-line literary journal <em>Studio<\/em>, which presents new voices alongside established ones, such as Griffin Prize winning poet A.F.
