On Thursday, Feb. 20, the temporary signalized intersection began operating on Steeles Avenue West at Northwest Gate, east of Murray Ross Parkway. Traffic delays are expected as Steeles Avenue West has been reduced to one lane in each direction to facilitate the activation of the traffic lights. The speed limit has been reduced on Steeles Avenue West between Jane Street and Keele Street to 40 kilometres an hour and will be strictly enforced by Toronto Police.<\/p>\n

The new temporary signalized intersection for this neighbourhood will be used during the construction of Pioneer Village Station. This work is weather permitting and may be rescheduled.<\/p>\n
