So in the days leading up to Earth Hour, the 快播视频 community will be celebrating sustainability with events in Vari Hall and York Lanes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>On Thursday and Friday, 快播视频 will host<\/span> the <em>Seeds of Hope<\/em> poster<span> exhibit from 10 am to 4pm in Vari Hall. Based on a simple premise \u2013 \u201cit starts with one\u201d \u2013 the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'\">Seeds of Hope<\/span><\/em>\u00a0exhibit\u00a0conveys the importance of individual action for community sustainability.\u00a0Through a series of 24\u00a0panels, it focuses on the themes of interconnectedness, social justice and peace to show how one idea can inspire and transform an entire community towards sustainable living. The exhibit offers\u00a0examples of how individuals and small groups\u00a0inspired by the Earth Charter have taken simple actions to create more sustainable communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_201003\" style=\"width: 290px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-201003\" class=\" wp-image-201003 \" alt=\"Seeds of Hope\" src=\"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/files\/2014\/03\/Seeds-of-Hope-image-two.jpg\" width=\"280\" height=\"211\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-201003\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Seeds of Hope<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>In addition to <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif'\">Seeds of Hope<\/span><\/em>, the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/susweb\/psc\/\"><span>President\u2019s Sustainability Council<\/span><\/a><span>, the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.irisyorku.ca\/\"><span>Institute for Research\u00a0&amp; Innovation in Sustainability<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0(IRIS),\u00a0and students in ENVS 3505 Business and Sustainability will be hosting information\u00a0tables\u00a0for anyone interested in learning more about the many\u00a0ideas and opportunities for getting involved in sustainability at York. Student clubs, campus organizations and businesses focusing on sustainability will be tabling throughout both days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>Along with the activities in Vari Hall, IRIS will be hosting its annual <\/span><a href=\"mailto:http:\/\/iris.info.yorku.ca\/ai1ec_event\/earth-hour-every-hour\/%3Finstance_id=746\"><span>Earth Hour Every Hour<\/span><\/a><span> events in York Lanes. This year\u2019s lineup includes an updated version of the climate change \"Inconvenient Truth\" presentation, created by Former Vice President Al Gore's, which will be presented by Julie Strilesky, who received training from Al Gore and his Climate Reality Leadership Corps in July 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span>The IRIS event will also feature the Word Wildlife Fund\u2019s (WWF) very own Panda Band - led by Senior Officer of Species, Pete Ewins as well as WWF staff and volunteers.
