{"id":317698,"date":"2022-06-24T14:52:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-24T19:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/?p=317698"},"modified":"2025-04-02T12:17:11","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T16:17:11","slug":"york-university-pausing-mandatory-face-mask-protocol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/2022\/06\/24\/york-university-pausing-mandatory-face-mask-protocol\/","title":{"rendered":"快播视频 pausing mandatory face mask protocol"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>La version fran\u00e7aise suit la version anglaise.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear York community,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In alignment with Ontario\u2019s Chief Medical Officer of Health\u2019s recent guidance on masks, the University will pause the mandatory face mask protocol, effective <strong>June 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of <a href=\"https:\/\/news.ontario.ca\/en\/statement\/1002160\/most-masking-requirements-to-be-lifted-on-june-11\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/news.ontario.ca\/en\/statement\/1002160\/most-masking-requirements-to-be-lifted-on-june-11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">June 11<\/a>, mandatory masking was discontinued in most settings in the province. The University continues to monitor the impact of COVID-19 and public health guidelines and if necessary, masking requirements will be reinstated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a community, we value our commitment to work together to solve problems and we urge you to respect everyone\u2019s choice to continue masking based on comfort levels and health needs. The University continues to encourage community members to wear a mask in indoor spaces, especially where physical distancing is not possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important reminders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Community members can continue to self-assess by completing <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/yorku.ubixhealth.com\/login\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/yorku.ubixhealth.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\">YU Screen<\/a> and should not come to campus if they are feeling unwell.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>York paused its COVID-19 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/secretariat\/policies\/policies\/covid-19-vaccination-mandate\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/secretariat\/policies\/policies\/covid-19-vaccination-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\">Vaccination Mandate<\/a> on May 1 (May 4 for Osgoode Juris Doctor and Graduate Program Research students).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>York continues to work with public health authorities should it become necessary to reinstate proof of vaccination on very short notice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We strongly recommend that everyone receives a completed vaccine series, including third or fourth doses, when eligible. All are responsible for keeping their vaccination status up to date on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/yorku.ubixhealth.com\/login\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/yorku.ubixhealth.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\">YU Screen<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/bettertogether\/rapid-testing\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/bettertogether\/rapid-testing\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rapid tests<\/a> can be obtained on the Keele and Glendon campuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With our first in-person convocation in two years behind us, we now look ahead to a return to campus in Fall 2022. Planning for the Fall 2022 term is well underway, including requirements for health and safety, academic programming and a range of services and supports.
