The Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ is issuing a call for applications to the Provostial Fellows Program<\/a> for 2023-24.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Applications are due by May 4<\/strong> and the call is open to all tenured faculty members who are interested in future leadership opportunities at the University. Indigenous faculty and those from equity-deserving groups are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program offers a unique opportunity for tenured faculty to advance the University\u2019s commitment to building a better future and creating positive change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, four Fellows were selected to lead projects<\/a> that advanced the priorities of York\u2019s University Academic Plan<\/a> (UAP) alongside United Nations Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>. These projects are focussed on reducing the University\u2019s carbon footprint by changing transportation patterns, to ensuring that 2SLGBTQIA+ students can access support to successfully launch their careers, among other key areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now in its third year, the program aims to keep advanc<\/a>ing York\u2019s position as world-class teaching institute through projects that directly address University Academic Plan priorities. Academic career development is also a key feature, as Fellows have the opportunity to create, collaborate and receive mentorship directly from University leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
