{"id":333196,"date":"2023-04-21T12:57:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T17:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yfile.news.yorku.ca\/?p=333196"},"modified":"2025-04-02T12:29:41","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T16:29:41","slug":"nominations-now-open-for-senate-elected-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/2023\/04\/21\/nominations-now-open-for-senate-elected-positions\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations now open for Senate elected positions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ's Senate Executive Committee is issuing its annual call for expressions of personal interest in, and suggestions for, nominations for membership on Senate Committee and other positions elected by Senate.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A list of the open positions is set out below, and detailed information about membership opportunities and committee mandates has been posted on an&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/secretariat\/senate\/senate-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elections<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>page on the Senate website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expressions of personal interest and the recommendation of other individuals can be transmitted by means of a&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/univsec.apps01.yorku.ca\/forms\/view.php?id=23949\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">form<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;created for this purpose. Specific&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/secretariat\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/107\/2023\/04\/Senate-Election-Vacancies-and-Criteria-Spring-2023-Call..5-April-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>criteria<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;for each of the positions should be reviewed carefully before the forms are submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Individuals&nbsp;must&nbsp;be available to serve at the standing meeting times of committees. Senators are asked by the Executive Committee to consider expressing their own personal interest and encouraging others to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The nominations process is&nbsp;<strong>open now<\/strong>&nbsp;through to&nbsp;<strong>Thursday, May 11 at noon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions about any aspect of the nomination and election process may be addressed to&nbsp;<a
